List of eligible marketable assets

The list of eligible marketable assets is updated every day from Monday to Friday, excluding TARGET2 closing days, at 18:15 CET.

The easiest way to check the eligibility of an individual asset for Eurosystem operations is to search the eligible assets database online.

Alternatively, you can also download the latest full list of eligible assets in various data formats from the download area. This option is suitable if you need to process data further or, for example, import it to a local database.

Other eligible assets

Not all eligible assets are included in the list of eligible assets. For example, non-financial corporations may issue marketable assets that do not have a rating from an external credit assessment institution for the issue, issuer or guarantor. In this case, their eligibility status depends on the credit assessment issued by the credit assessment provider chosen by the counterparty in accordance with the rules of the Eurosystem credit assessment framework. These assets are not therefore included in the list of eligible assets.

In addition, certain non-marketable assets are also eligible for use as collateral in Eurosystem credit operations, in line with the “General framework” and “Temporary framework” of the Eurosystem legal framework for monetary policy instruments. These assets are not included in the public list of eligible assets.

Who to contact

If you have questions on the eligibility of a specific asset (for example, if you think an asset should be included in the list of eligible assets), please contact the national central bank of the country where the asset is admitted to trading.
