New release type – €STR

From 2 October 2019, the euro short-term rate (€STR) will be published at 08:00 CET on each TARGET2 business day. The €STR will be published on the ECB’s website, via the MID platform and through the ECB’s Statistical Data Warehouse.

To that end, a new MID release type has been created for the €STR, entitled “EURO-SHORT-TERM-RATEDailyPublication”.

Please refer to the “API specifications and template files” folder above, which contains:

• an XSD schema file that defines the €STR publication format
• a sample publication file that is consistent with the XSD schema above
• a document describing the signature validation procedure for €STR releases

The sample file was created using test data. The certificate used for signing the sample file is not the one that will be used to publish the real data.
