4th Emerging Markets Group conference on emerging market finance

Joint conference of the European Central Bank and the Emerging Markets Group of the Cass Business School

Date: 8 and 9 May 2014

Venue: Cass Business School, City University, London

About the conference

The European Central Bank and the Emerging Markets Group (EMG) of the Cass Business School are organising the fourth annual EMG conference on emerging markets finance, to be held in London on 8 and 9 May 2014. The aim of the conference is to foster an exchange of knowledge and views between practitioners, researchers and policy-makers on topics related to emerging markets finance. During the prolonged period of monetary accommodation in advanced economies, emerging market economies have been faced with the challenge of ensuring economic and financial stability against the background of volatile capital flows. The conference aims to provide a forum in which to discuss research related to spillovers and financial linkages, exchange rates, international capital flows and financial cycles in emerging markets. Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal of International Money and Finance

Speakers

Viral Acharya, Starr Professor of Economics, Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Kaufman Management Center, and Hélène Rey, Professor of Economics, London Business School, will give keynote speeches.
