ECB Conference on Monetary Policy 2026: bridging science and practice – Call for papers

The ECB will hold its ninth Monetary Policy conference with the ambition of bridging science and practice.
While again featuring an impressive line-up of invited speakers, the conference will also include a special session that gives young economists the opportunity to present their work to central bankers and practitioners.
Call for papers for Young Economist session
Submission deadline: 15 May 2026
Topics
Young researchers – up to five years after completion of their PhDs – are invited to present their work related to monetary policy in the broad areas of macroeconomics, monetary policy strategy, money and credit, financial markets, and financial intermediation.
Submissions should ideally cover, but are not confined to, topics related to euro area monetary policy.

If your paper is accepted, you will be notified by mid-June 2026. Academic speakers will be reimbursed for travel and accommodation costs incurred.
Papers should be submitted in portable document format (PDF) to conf.mon.pol@ecb.europa.eu by 15 May 2026.
