Pontes is part of the Eurosystem’s tokenised wholesale central bank money programme and is under Appia governance. The programme is guided by the Appia steering group, which oversees its strategic direction.

Pontes market contact group
The Pontes market contact group included market participants and market distributed ledger technology (DLT) representatives who expressed their interest in joining. It was active between October 2025 and September 2026, when the Appia contact group took over its tasks and all other related activities. The Pontes market contact group facilitated an active dialogue with stakeholders and advised the Eurosystem on activities related to project delivery (e.g. user requirements, testing and client readiness).
