Environmental protection at the ECB

As a European institution, we have a role to play in protecting the environment and fighting climate change. To improve our environmental performance and reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, we adopted an environmental policy in 2007 and have been registered with the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) since 2010.
