Digital euro
The Eurosystem is preparing for the potential issuance of a digital euro to complement physical cash.
Global trade flows shifted in 2025. But early evidence suggests that trade diversion from US tariffs has been limited so far. While US imports from China fell sharply, strong Chinese export growth across other regions seems to have been driven more by structural factors.
