Publication of two studies related to the euro area money and bond market

In the context of the regular monitoring activities of the European System of Central Banks, experts from the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the European Union carried out an analysis of developments that have occurred in 2000 in the money, bond and equity markets of the euro area. This analysis followed up on similar studies that were performed for money and bond markets in the second half of 1999, the results of which were published in the report "The Impact of the Euro on Money and Bond Markets" (pdf 477 kB) (July 2000).

The results of the studies on the euro money and bond markets that were conducted in 2000 are published today in two companion reports, entitled "The Euro Money Market" (pdf 551 kB) and "The Euro Bond Market" (pdf 536 kB). A forthcoming publication on the euro equity markets will complete this triptych.
