INEXDA: granular data network

INEXDA is the International Network for Exchanging Experience on Statistical Handling of Granular Data.

It was launched by five central banks in 2017 (Banca d’Italia, Banco de Portugal, Bank of England, Banque de France and Deutsche Bundesbank), and the ECB and Banco de España joined in 2018. Participation in INEXDA is open to other central banks, statistical institutes and international organisations.

Granular data is necessary to better understand economic developments and the impact of policies on the economy. INEXDA encourages data harmonisation, which will make statistical work with granular data more efficient. The network’s ultimate aim is to help others use granular data for analytical, policy and research purposes. This will be done without breaching any confidentiality regimes.
