Daniel Cohen

Biography

Daniel Cohen is Professor of Economics at the École Normale Superieure and at the Paris School of Economics, of which he was a founding member and a former Vice President. He is also the Director of CEPREMAP, a leading policy research institute, a Research Fellow and former Program Director of the Center of Economic Policy Research, and an op-ed columnist for Le Monde. He has published numerous articles and books, from Private Lending to Sovereign States, MIT Press, 1991, to The Prosperity of Vice, MIT Press, 2012. His latest book Homo economicus, the (lost) prophet of modern times will appear this spring at Polity Press.
