Who can participate in the ECB Forum on Central Banking?
Participation in the ECB Forum on Central Banking is by invitation only and is limited to central bank officials, academics, senior economists and selected media. Due to limited space, the number of invited participants is restricted.
How can I find the programme for the ECB Forum on Central Banking?
The programme is available on the ECB’s website. Further information, including details of speakers and participants, will be made available closer to the event.
Is there a fee to attend?
In line with European Central Bank policy, and in order to cover part of the costs associated with the Forum, a participation fee of €800 applies to standard participants. If you have any queries related to the fee, please contact email@example.com.
I am a journalist interested in attending/reporting from the Forum, how can I register?
Owing to limited space, participation in the Forum is by invitation only. A limited number of journalists are invited to the ECB Forum as participants.
In addition, journalists who are not invited as participants may be accredited to follow the Forum at the media centre situated close to the conference venue. For further information, please refer to the dedicated media page or email the Forum’s media team (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Will the meeting be webcast?
The ECB Forum will be broadcast live on the ECB website.
Can I share information about the Forum on my own social media channels?
All presentations, papers and discussions that are part of the official programme of the ECB Forum are on the record. Participants and interested parties are encouraged to share information about the Forum on their own social media channels and to promote the ECB’s social media posts about the event using the hashtags #EUROat20 and #ECBForum.
Will the papers discussed during the Forum be published?
Yes. The papers discussed during the Forum will be published on the ECB website. The ECB aims, where possible, to publish papers online shortly in advance of the conference. Otherwise, papers will be published during the event.
I have received an invitation but cannot find my credentials for accessing the registration site?
Please register using the email address that the invitation was sent to. Should you be unable to register using this email address, please contact email@example.com.
I am trying to access the online registration page but it says my credentials are incorrect?
The username should be the email address to which your invitation was sent. Should you continue to be unable to access the site, please contac firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have received an invitation but I am unable to attend. Can I extend the invitation to a different person?
We’re sorry to hear you are unable to attend. The Forum has a strict replacement policy. Please email any such requests to Forum’s secretariat (email@example.com).
I have registered to attend the Forum, how can I book accommodation?
The ECB has negotiated rates with Penha Longa Resort (the conference venue). Rooms at this hotel should be reserved using the booking codes provided during registration. Please contact the hotel directly if you need assistance in arranging accommodation.
Will transportation be offered for the participants?
Lisbon International Airport (Portela) is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Lisbon city centre and about 30 to 45 minutes from the Forum venue.
On 17 June, a shuttle service will operate every 30 minutes between Lisbon Airport and the Penha Longa and Pestana hotels. A welcome desk, from which support staff will guide you to the pick-up point, will be located in the arrivals hall on the right-hand side when exiting customs (adjacent to the shop OLA).
On 19 June, after the end of the conference, a shuttle service will operate from the Penha Longa Hotel to Lisbon Airport, leaving every 30 minutes between 16:30 and 18:30.
On 20 June there will be a shuttle service from the Penha Longa Hotel, leaving every 30 minutes between 4:30 and 8:00 and from the Pestana hotel at 7:30.
There is an official taxi rank outside the arrivals hall at Lisbon Airport (the estimated taxi fare from the airport to Hotel Penha Longa is €30).
