How will the ECB Forum on Central Banking take place in 2020?

Due to the current health and contact restrictions, the ECB Forum on Central Banking will be held as an online event in 2020. It will take place on 11 and 12 November 2020. As always, the entire event will be broadcast live.

Who can participate in the ECB Forum on Central Banking?

Participation in the ECB Forum on Central Banking is by invitation only and is limited to central bank officials, academics, senior economists and selected media. Due to technical constraints, the number of participants invited to take part in the online event is limited.

Will the Forum be webcast?

The ECB Forum will be broadcast live on the ECB website.

How can I find the programme for the ECB Forum on Central Banking?

The programme is available on the ECB’s website. Further information, including details of speakers and participants, will be made available closer to the event.

I am a journalist interested in attending the Forum, how can I register?

Participation in the Forum is by invitation only. A limited number of journalists are invited to the ECB Forum as participants.

Journalists may follow the entire event via the webcast. Please refer to the dedicated media page or email the Forum’s media team ( for further information.

Can I share information about the Forum on my own social media channels?

All presentations, papers and discussions that are part of the official programme of the ECB Forum are on the record. Participants and interested parties are encouraged to share information about the Forum on their own social media channels and to promote the ECB’s social media posts about the event using the hashtag #ECBForum.

Will the papers discussed during the Forum be published?

Yes. The papers presented and discussed during the Forum will be published on the ECB website. The ECB aims to publish the papers online in advance of the conference. Otherwise, papers will be published during the event.
