Annual Report

The Annual Report describes the tasks and activities of the European System of Central Banks and reports on the Eurosystem’s monetary policy. It is usually published in the spring of the following year and is presented by one of the ECB’s Executive Board members to the European Parliament at a public hearing.

The ECB lowered its key interest rates further

The ECB cut its key interest rates by 100 basis points in the first half of 2025, bringing the deposit facility rate to 2.00% by June amid signs of inflation moving sustainably towards the 2% target.

In the European Commission’s spring 2025 Eurobarometer survey, 83% of people in the euro area supported the euro – an all-time high.
