Video conference

Once a year the European Commission and the European Central Bank (ECB) organise a joint conference on financial integration in Europe. The 2021 conference will be held as on online event on 27 May 2021 and will focus on the implications for the EU financial system of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and climate change.

At the conference, the European Commission will present its annual “European Financial Stability and Integration Review”.

Keynote speeches will be given by Commissioner Mairead McGuinnes and ECB Vice-President Luis de Guindos, and key policymakers, financial market leaders and academics will consider the financial development, financial integration and financial stability aspects of COVID-19 and climate change and discuss possible policy implications in two high-level panels.
